The Journey

I was excited to go to the Sound Healing and Yoga session offered by Sunseed, Lady Erica, and Boo this past weekend. My spirit had just told me the only thing I have left to do now is to go live my full life and I knew that would be the place to start. My perspective dictated how the experience would go, and I’m so glad I chose to stay open and enjoy the journey instead of pinning all my hopes on the destination.

POV: I left on time and still got there an hour late cuz 4 busses wanted to go by without stopping. I missed the whole first half of the event and then got rained on when I was coming home.

POV: I left on time and was gifted extra time to smile out loud grooving to my music and dancing in the sun while waiting for the bus. I got to the event just in time to enjoy the final aromas and sounds of healing and connect with my tribe before the air turned, promising rain. While walking through the woods of the park with purpose toward the train, I came across a waterfall. Enchanted by the flow, I paused for a moment to take it in. When I did, the skies parted to shower me with it. Sheltered under the trees, the pitter pat of rain mixed with the flow of the falls was magical, so I stayed for a moment longer. Walking under the trees toward the train, I encountered a blockage in my path, a mandatory invitation to detour from under the protection of the trees into the deluge. I opened my umbrella and walked slowly allowing my flip flopped feet and bare legs to be blessed and cleansed by the warm rain. The walk seemed too short, the rain didn't last long enough, alas the train station was right there.

I choose a full life of joy. The bus made me late and I got rained on, just like I have debt for now and at the moment I don't have enough money. If I can have joy now even while I'm going through these temporary trials, I can have it forever.

My life is magic and romance, I choose this. Always. Asé.
