How did you set yourself up?
This past week had me feeling like I did something right last weekend. It was one of those productive weeks, you know? Where I got it all done, on time, and with a smile to boot! It got me thinking 🤔
Can I set myself up to succeed like this when those OTHER weeks roll around? You know what I'm talking about- those peel myself out of bed, don't feel like cooking, barely put myself together, drag-all-day-everyday weeks...
So this weekend was about taking inventory of what makes me feel ready, focused, and capable, then seeing what I can do (while I have the energy and motivation) to make those things easier. I focused on things like pre-cutting/peeling my energizing fruit so it's ready to munch, moving my bed closer to the radiator so I'm warm when I wake up instead of freezing limbs to turn on the space heater, and making my plant babies part of my zen-zone, reminding me during my recharge that the things I feed with love, grow abundantly. This way, the OTHER weeks can see me setup to succeed in spite of potential low energy/ mood.
It's actually already boosting my energy. I was excited and ready for work today, and I'm hyped for it tomorrow too. The real test will be how I fare on those OTHER weeks😬 but for now, I have new motivation to keep placing the pieces that set future me up for success.
