Did you know there are plant-based sources of complete protein?
A source of complete proteins is one that contains all the essential amino acids the body needs to obtain from diet because it can not create them itself. Generally speaking, all animal products are complete proteins and most plant sources are known to be incomplete proteins. This simply means you need to combine multiple different incomplete proteins to get your daily recommended allowance of essential amino acids, eg. rice AND beans. However, these 6 plant sources broke the mold and are complete proteins all by themselves! Be honest, did you know about these essential amino acid powerhouses?
