Ivelisse Campbell
Origin Story: Growing up as a self conscious child nervous about how I looked in front of others, dancing was something I never thought I would do in front of an audience. I was about 10 years old when all that changed. It was a family party and I took a risk. I did a funky dance move and people laughed, smiled then followed. I didn’t take their reactions personal I just kept going. Since then I haven’t stopped dancing. Dancing is my liberation, my outlet and most importantly how I have fun. I found Zumba in 2011 through a TV infommercial, ordered the DVDs and did it right in my living room. A mom of 3, through life responsibilities I always found myself dancing to let go and relive stress. I started to attend Talitha Dance Zumba classes and I was hooked. With her encouragement I become a certified fitness instructor licensed to teach Zumba. Now, not only do I share my energy with like minded people, I found a family-a community to grow with.
What makes you super woman? My energy. I have the ability to lift the mood in a room. I motivate the people around me by speaking encouragement, communicating thanks, and offering support with a spark of positive vibes.
Zumba Flavor: My Zumba flavor includes a mix of music from around the world. Caribbean vibes Afro-beats, hip-hop, and popular hits, old and new.
